Hillsboro,OR

Though we live in Southeast Portland, the “West Side” is where much of our community is; where most of our friends and family in the area live, and where we spend much of our time. When we found a beautiful venue in Hillsboro, 10-20 minutes where most of our friends live (but a solid hour from us!), it felt meant to be.

Ingrid always wanted a wine country wedding, and Hillsboro is right at the edge of Willamette Valley, Oregon’s wine region. You’ll find vineyards just a few minutes away, but it’s also located right outside of Beaverton and Tigard, where there are plenty of hotels.

Transportation

Portland International Airport is about 30 miles from our venue (a 45 minute to hour+ drive, depending on the time of day). Uber & Lyft are plentiful from the airport as well as out by the venue, if you wish to skip a rental car.

Where to Stay

Scholls Valley Lodge is located in the “Farmington” area of Hillsboro. There are several communities within a 20 minute drive, with plentiful hotels available: downtown Hillsboro straight North, Beaverton to the North-East, or Tigard is a straight shot East.

There are also AirBnbs/Vacation rentals available in wine country, closer to the venue.

If you intend to attend our after-party at Wildwood Taphouse after the wedding, we would heavily recommend staying in Hillsboro for ease of transportation. Orenco Station or downtown Hillsboro are both lovely areas near both venues, but also near plenty of great restaurants & bars, etc.

For a slightly further away but quintessential Oregon experience, McMenamins Grand Lodge is worth checking out.

There are many options at the intersection of the 5 & 217 highways, which makes hopping into Portland on your trip as well very convenient.

Those who really want to experience wine country may wish to stay south of the venue in Dundee or Newberg.
